Liger

Čo príroda sama nedokáže, k tomu može človek dopomocť. Levy a tigre sa medzi sebou nepária, ale v zajatí niekedy preskočí iskierka lásky. Z lásky leva a tigrej samice sa tak zrodí zvláštne zviera nazývané LIGER.

Kríženec liger má znaky leva i tigra, hrivu či charakteristické sfarbenie. Samci sú neplodní ale samička ligera može mať ďalšie potomstvo s levom alebo tigrom. Práve z narodenia takéhoto "mačiatka" sa tešia v zoo v ruskom Novosibírsku. Podobným unikátom sa može pochváliť aj jedna z rezervácií v Kalifornií, kde miestný liger dostal meno Patrik.

Ruská štvorročná samička ligera priviedla túto jar na svet mláďa, ktoré je potomkom leva, narodil sa tak li-liger. Narodenie matky v roku 2004 nebolo vedeckým experimentom, ale výsledkom romániku medzi africkým levom a bengálskou tigricou, Z voľnej prírody podobné prípady nie sú známe.

Táto mačkovitá šelma dosahuje oproti tigrom i levom relatívne veľkých rozmerov približne 3 m pozdĺž tela a hmotnosť 300kg.

V prípade, že dojde k skríženiu tigra a levice, vzniká kríženec nazývaný TIGON.

What nature doesn´t achieve, the human help to it. Lions and tigres don´t cross between alongs, but sometimes in seizure jump over scintilla of love. From love of lion and tigress will bring forth bizarre animal called LIGER.

Hybrid liger has signs of lion and tiger, mane and characteful coloration too. Males are unproductive, but female of liger is able to has additional posterity with lion or tiger. About to from birth of such "kitten" are pleased in zoo in russian Novosibirsk. Resembling unique is also situated in one of reservation of California, where local liger got for name Patrick.
